This classic Adams 13 is a one owner vessel and has been very well cared for since launched in 1981.'Javelin' has cruised the Queensland coastline each year for over 30 years and has provided wonderful adventures for her owners. The Adams 13 is not your average cruising yacht; Javelin is narrow, sleek and fast; yet designed by Joe Adams to sail the world with the comforts and equipment you would expect to find on a 43 foot vessel. She is set up for serious cruising, or could be a very comfortable live aboard with a forward vee berth, two sizeable quarter berths; plus the settee can double a single. She has a large inline galley portside with ample bench space for cooking preparation, twin sinks, 2 burner stove and storage for crockery & utensils. An enclosed and private head with bathroom area is located starboard amidships and Javelin also has a large holding tank with a with a 32L discharge pump. There is a sizable navigation station just forward of the companionway for easy and swift access whist underway. The rudder is transom-hung and below the waterline is a keel/centerboard which when pulled up offers a safe entrance into any shallow waterways or enables 'close in' anchoring; this also enhances her downwind performance by reducing in-water drag. The Adams 13 has proven to be easily handled and a delight to sail, plus the owner advises she is very sea-kindly as well. The Adams 13 is a yacht Joe Adams initially designed for himself and many of this model have spent time as proven off shore racers including a number a of Sydney-Hobart entrants. Javelin had a new Volvo D30 installed in approximately 2007 and now has 504 hours on the gauge. New standing and running rigging was fitted in 2017 and there are numerous quality sails onboard including an overhauled main, near new Number 2 main, headsail and more.. If you have been looking for a very capable and well loved cruising yacht for your next adventures, then please contact us to make an appointment to inspect Javelin.
